NFTs and XRP are both new to me
You do not need to learn every technical term first. Follow the steps in order: understand the four basic ideas, prepare XRP and a wallet, then choose your dropchan.
Only four ideas to start
The digital asset used to buy dropchan and pay XRPL transaction fees.
The XRP Ledger, the network where dropchan NFTs are recorded.
An app that lets you control XRP and NFTs and approve transactions. This guide uses Xaman as an example.
A unique token whose ownership is recorded on a blockchain. When you collect a dropchan, that NFT ownership moves to your wallet.
An XRPL NFT marketplace where you can browse dropchans currently listed for sale.
Get XRP → move it to your wallet → choose a dropchan → review and sign the purchase.
Go one step at a time
Get XRP
Use a cryptocurrency exchange or service available in your region. Account requirements, identity checks, and fees vary by service and location.
Create your own XRPL wallet
Prepare an XRPL-compatible wallet such as Xaman. Store any recovery or secret information safely offline. Never share it with another person or website.
Send XRP to the wallet
Withdraw to your own XRPL r-address. If this is your first crypto transfer, consider a small test amount first. XRPL accounts also need a reserve, so leave some room beyond the NFT price.
Find a dropchan you love
Use Theme, Catalog, Explorer, or Collaboration in this guide, or browse currently listed dropchans directly on xrp.cafe.
Connect your wallet
Open the dropchan listing on xrp.cafe and connect your wallet. Connecting alone does not buy anything.
Review and sign
Check the amount and transaction details in your wallet. Approve only when everything looks right. After settlement, the NFT appears under your XRPL account.
Remember this before anything else
The dropchan team will never ask for them. Connecting a wallet is not the same as typing your secret information into a website. In a normal signing flow, the secret stays inside your wallet.
Check the beginning and end after pasting an address.
For your first transfer, a small test can reduce mistakes.
Compare the marketplace price with the wallet signing request.
If a signing request is unclear, cancel it and verify first.
Stay safe
Wallets such as Xaman sign locally instead of giving your private key to a website. Avoid links from unknown DMs and verify the official site yourself before connecting.
XRPL reserve requirements are network rules and may change. Check the latest value in your wallet or on XRPL official documentation .
When you are ready
You can also browse first and learn the purchase flow later. There is no need to rush.
